I twisted my back packing and moving heavy boxes. I could hardly move or get out of bed. I couldn’t brush my hair or go to work.
Thankfully Dr. Frye’s office said they would see me right away. The staff was so caring; they got me in and diagnosed my problem immediately.

Relief From Pain Caused by Scoliosis
I came into Dr. Frye’s office with pain in my upper leg due to problems with my spine. I could hardly walk; I could not play with my kids. I thought that the pain would never go away and that I would just have to suffer.
I went to an MD. He said there was not much to do about the pain medically except pain pills or maybe surgery. When I suggested a chiropractor, my doctor agreed it might help.
I looked up Dr. Frye in the yellow pages. After my treatments with Dr. Frye’s the pain was gone, plus the other pains in my upper back subsided.
I’m over 83 years old. It’s the best I have felt in 40 years.

Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a disorder that causes an abnormal curve of the spine, or backbone. The spine curves away from the middle or sideways.
The two types of Scoliosis addressed by Frye Chiropractic are Degenerative Scoliosis and Functional Scoliosis. Degenerative Scoliosis can occur in older adults and is caused by changes in the spine due to arthritis. This type of scoliosis can cause chronic back pain. The weakening of ligaments and other soft tissue combined with abnormal bone spurs can lead to abnormal curvature of the spine. (Source:).
The doctors at Frye Chiropractic are highly trained in diagnosing early indications of problems that could lead to Degenerative Scoliosis. We diagnose, treat and correct, as much as possible, the core issues then establish a maintenance schedule to help you prevent any further deterioration down the road.
Functional Scoliosis (Idiopathic scoliosis) is most common in adolescents and tends to worsen with growth spurts. Until recently, standard medical treatment often required the youngster to wear a cumbersome brace that was refitted that was refitted at intervals to accommodate normal growth.
If your child is diagnosed with Functional Scoliosis, please talk to us about alternative therapies centered in spinal biomechanics and postural rehabilitation.
